Additional Commentary
Across the business, our median pay gap is negligible (-2%), an indication of our efforts to ensure pay equality. Our mean gender pay gap, however, is higher. This is because 37% of our male employees work at Head Office, where roles tend to command higher salaries due to their scope of responsibilities, and the London-based location. This skews the mean salary, but not the median. However, when a role is performed by both men and women, we do not have a gender pay gap.
As an organisation, we are committed to increasing the number of male team members across our nurseries, outperforming the industry average of 2% to 3% of the workforce.
